Corinne Bailey Rae x Guildhall Session Orchestra

Corinne Bailey Rae first captured the world’s attention with her 2006 hit “Put Your Records On” and became the fourth British female artist to debut at number one on the charts. A double GRAMMY and MOBO Award winner, Bailey Rae has also been nominated for prestigious honors including the Mercury Prize, BRIT Awards, and an Ivor Novello.

Guildhall Session Orchestra, formed in 2019, is a professional cross-genre ensemble of Guildhall School alumni, renowned for groundbreaking collaborations with artists like Speakers Corner Quartet and Aoife O’Donovan.

For Corinne Bailey Rae's first concert with a live orchestra, I was trusted with the role of composing an original orchestral overture that encompassed the entire 'Black Rainbows' album and would take place before Bailey Rae walked on stage to excite the audience for the incredible concert that took place afterwards.
